Jeff pairs his incredible passion for poker with a very strong network of top pros. We are very particular about who we allow to sell action on our site — as members of the poker community ourselves, we understand that not every venture that has come out of this industry has been created by people with high integrity.
We are not interested in working with pros who have left black marks in the poker world. We are not interested in jamming affiliate deals down the throats of our users, potentially tarnishing the names of those pros who do sell action on our site.
In fact, we recently took down our last affiliate partnership deal off our site, as it adds almost no value to any of the users on our site — instead is only designed to line the pockets of the sites owners.
I think our pros recognize these things, and understand that we are here to work with them. We also offer several different value propositions to pros — from reducing variance, moving up levels, or engaging with their fan base.
We were having discussions with dozens of event companies and agencies about creating some really awesome stuff.
In the space of just 48 hours, our entire income and job list for the remainder of and beyond was completely cancelled, and we had no choice but to make massive and instant cuts to our business.
I felt sick to the core. So we do what we always do at Stagekings when we need to get highly creative. Which is most days! We gathered our talented team together, and we brainstormed.
But this time, it wasn't to impress a client, it was for survival of our business. This had to be our best work yet. The traditional staking world is full of bitter disputes that drag on for years with little hope for resolution.
Sometimes the money just disappears entirely. The StakeKings interface lets backers sort by pros or semi-pros and see a player's live video feed on Twitch.
When these things happen, backers have few options for restitution. YouStake and StakeKings are attempting to tame this Wild West by adding more safeguards and greater transparency.
The sites serve as middlemen for transactions; they also encourage players and investors to interact on social media.
If players don't meet their fundraising goal, or don't fulfill all their obligations, pledged money is returned.
Meyvis, the software developer, has also used StakeKings a few times as a player, and he appreciates the ease and speed with which he can solicit funds for high buy-in events.
For more high profile events, his strategy is to emphasize the social aspect and the updates he will deliver as he gets closer to the money. Anyone playing for fun would be much, much better off not playing cash games AND avoiding as much chalk as possible, especially in sports like MLB.
Kicked this topic around a year ago when it first came out. My statements on this being a losing proposition for investors and the general community still stands.
I also still feel this goes against both RG and Draftkings core mission statements, not to mention gameplay rules.
There is nothing wrong with the concept, but It is basically a tax on idiots at the common markup levels. I guess Im surprised they dont have more players posting action as well, but its probably supply and demand driven.
I think the concept has potential. To me, this is mostly entertainment for the buyer. I do not believe a seller should have to show their ROI or prove they are a profitable player.
Hell they could be a break-even or even a losing player yet it could still be a better investment for some buyers than playing lineups themselves.
As long as the sellers are not being fraudulent or claiming to be something they are not, then I do not see the problem with this. I know how markup works.
Even better, making a profit no longer involved tedious nonsense like driving to a racecourse every day — you could do it in your office or at home, surrounded by your laptops and your banks of screens.
As we have written in many articles on this site, the number of online sports betting companies is steadily increasing and so are their profits.
Log in and find your champion. DFS contests are rapidly increasing in popularity — not just in the US but, as we have written previously, in countries like India and Australia.Wenn man aber nicht redet, Wintersports auch keiner zu und… Ich glaube, dass Problem ist klar. I will be playing some of Minnesota Vikings Depth Chart Low-Buyin events marked in bold :. Das war es erstmal.
